To our new neighbors in Crown Heights

Thank you for the warm welcome you’ve shown us here in Brooklyn. Your kindness have reminded us what food is truly about: love, connection, and community.

That’s why we chose the name Safta, which means grandmother in Hebrew. It’s a tribute to the kitchens that raised us. A warm place of delicious smells in our homes where recipes were shared, stories were told, and everyone had a place at the table.

At Safta, we cook from the heart: bright Mediterranean flavors, handmade breads, and dishes meant to be shared. We believe a good meal can bring people together — across backgrounds, beliefs, and generations… just as our own saftas always did.

We’re honored to be part of this neighborhood and can’t wait to cook for you. Stop by, bring your friends and family, and make yourself at home!

We are closed.

With full hearts, we’re saying goodbye.
Thank you to every guest, every neighbor, and every friend who made Safta feel like home.
